Abstract:
Employing undocumented workers has long been a hot-button issue, but what is the real impact of these workers on wages and the employment decisions of local businesses? Myriam Quispe-Agnoli, Community and Economic Development Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, will discuss her research on (1) whether firms employing undocumented workers have a competitive advantage, (2) wage differentials between documented and undocumented workers, and (3) whether undocumented workers are displacing documented workers.
