643012 news 1610741642 1610743671 <![CDATA[College of Sciences Celebrates its 30-Year Anniversary]]> Even though students could major in sciences and liberal arts since early in the 20th century, it wasn't until 1990 that the Georgia Institute of Technology reorganized its various majors and departments to create a College of Sciences, along with a College of Computing and the College of Liberal Arts. 

This presentation by the College of Design offers up a timeline of events over the past 30 years that helped to create the present-day College of Sciences at Georgia Tech. Those events include the tenures of influential deans, unique student experiences and groundbreaking developments in education and research, national and international honors won by researchers and alumni, the construction of various signature buildings on campus — including the Clough Undergraduate Learning Center, the BioQuad, and the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design — and more.
