  <title><![CDATA[Wildfire Smoke Is Alive ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>It&#39;s a new research field for scientists --&nbsp;pyroaerobiology, the study of how microbial life is aerosolized and moved around by wildfire smoke. Scientists have been studying how microbes can live in smoke from fires since 2018, and one of the researchers looking into how pyroaerobiology can affect both climate and human health is <a href="https://drrachelmoore.github.io">Rachel Moore</a>, a postdoctoral researcher with the <a href="https://eas.gatech.edu">School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences</a>.&nbsp;</p>
