{"644401":{"#nid":"644401","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Encouraging Support \u0026 Well-Being for All Employees","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nAs we near one year of\u0026nbsp;working amidst the pandemic, it\u0026rsquo;s important we recognize that\u0026nbsp;many employees continue to feel fatigued and emotionally stressed.\u0026nbsp;We encourage\u0026nbsp;our\u0026nbsp;community\u0026nbsp;to support one another\u0026nbsp;during this time of instability\u0026nbsp;and\u0026nbsp;ask for help when needed.\u0026nbsp;We recognize that many\u0026nbsp;may be\u0026nbsp;feeling overwhelmed; therefore,\u0026nbsp;encourage our people leaders to adopt behaviors that foster and cultivate a sense of well-being:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/studentlife.gatech.edu\/content\/march-events\u0022\u003ESupport participation in campus activities\u003C\/a\u003E that promote a sense of community and well-being.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ESchedule meetings for 45 or 50 minutes, allowing for transitional breaks between tasks.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EEncourage walking meetings or meetings held outdoors.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EInvite team members to return to campus for lunches on Tech Green and\/or campus walks.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EBe intentional in your meeting planning. If information can be shared over chat or phone, consider eliminating the need for another virtual meeting.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EEnsure employees set boundaries for themselves and understand expectations of when to return emails or texts.
