Kuntz will argue that the key technology enabling\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003Epurposeful\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003Egenomic manipulation is Artificial Intelligence and the detailed comparative studies of genomes with and without certain diseases that it enables.\u0026nbsp; She suggests new policies that the USG should pursue in the international, national and government domains to strengthen expertise in this critical emerging technology and speculates on broader implications of her findings for emerging technologies in general.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nCarol Kuntz served in the United States national security community for more than thirty years. Her work particularly focused on identifying changes in the strategic and technological environment and crafting new policies and programs in light of those changes. Kuntz received her PhD in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her MPA from Princeton University and her BA from Cornell University,\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003Emagna cum laude\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;with Distinction in all subjects.\u0026nbsp;Kuntz received numerous awards over the course of her government career, including twice receiving the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/primetime.bluejeans.com\/a2m\/register\/ebuapbup\u0022\u003ERegister\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Join the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs\u00a0as it hosts Carol Kuntz, an adjunct fellow, Technology Policy Program, Center for Strategic and International Studies.
