  <body><![CDATA[<p>By using time-lapse footage, along with a root-like robot to test ideas, researchers at Duke University and Georgia Tech&nbsp;gained&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pnas.org/content/118/8/e2018940118">new insights</a>&nbsp;into how and why plant root tips twirl as they grow.
