  <body><![CDATA[<p>A biomedical engineering lab designed and tested in lab animals gene-edited therapies for influenza and Covid-19, inhaled by patients with a home device. The treatment and tests using the gene-editing technique Crispr are developed by researchers from Emory University and Georgia Tech.&nbsp;Researchers involved include <a href="https://sites.gatech.edu/santangelo/people/">Philip Santangelo</a>, associate professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering.&nbsp;</p>
