In terms of rankings among public universities, electrical engineering advanced a spot to second place and CmpE maintained its third place position.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe College of Engineering remained in eighth place in the overall graduate engineering rankings and placed fourth among all public institutions.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe accomplishments and the dedication of the ECE faculty, staff, and students have been inspirational to witness throughout this last year, said Magnus Egerstedt, the Steve W. Chaddick School Chair for ECE.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;We should be especially proud of these rankings, in light of all of the challenges that we have faced in being handed a big, sour pandemic lemon and making lemonade where we could during this past year,\u0026rdquo; Egerstedt said. \u0026ldquo;Please know how much I admire the strength, flexibility, and compassion that you have shown during this time that none of us will ever forget. I know that those traits will continue to serve all of us as well as we move forward in the coming year.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbout the\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EU.S. News \u0026amp; World Report\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;Rankings\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ERankings for the engineering colleges that provided data were calculated based on a weighted average of 10 indicators, while specific \u0026ldquo;specialty rankings\u0026rdquo; (like the EE and CmpE programs) are based on peer assessments.
