Over the past month, I have been repeatedly reminded of the significant role that women play in shaping digital strategy at Georgia Tech. I am fortunate to have a front row seat to so much of that work.

As you know, OIT has been involved in an extensive and aggressive strategic planning effort for the last 12 weeks. At the helm of that effort is a core project team largely comprised of a diverse group of women who specialize in strategy, organizational change management, project management, and communications. Among the steering committee sits women IT leaders who drive technology advancements in academic and operational spaces. Women across IT are also leading and contributing to many of our major IT initiatives like Operational Excellence, Data Strategy, Video Collaboration Review, and Enterprise CRM.

It is no secret that diversity on teams and in leadership increase innovation and improve team performance.
