  <title><![CDATA[Mohit Singh Receives Tenure]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) announced that Associate Professor <a href="https://www.isye.gatech.edu/users/mohit-singh"><strong>Mohit Singh</strong></a> has received tenure, effective August 15, 2021.</p>

<p>Singh&rsquo;s research interests are in discrete optimization, approximation algorithms, and convex optimization, with special emphasis on optimization problems arising in cloud computing, logistics, network design, and machine learning.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&ldquo;Congratulations to Mohit on this significant professional achievement,&rdquo; said H. Milton and Carolyn J. Stewart School Chair Edwin Romeijn. &ldquo;Receiving tenure is a recognition of his considerable work in optimization problems arising in cloud computing, logistics, network design, and machine learning.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Singh is also the director of Georgia Tech&rsquo;s <a href="http://arc.gatech.edu/">Algorithms and Randomness Center</a>, which known as the Institute&rsquo;s &ldquo;think tank for algorithms, randomness and optimization.&rdquo; Prior to his joining ISyE, Singh was a researcher in Microsoft Research&rsquo;s Theory Group.</p>
