Williams\u003C\/a\u003E has been promoted to Senior Lecturer in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE). An ISyE alumnus (IE 2002), he joined the Stewart School in 2010 as a lecturer and advisor in the Academic Office and quickly developed a reputation as an engaging and demanding instructor. Attesting to this are the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.isye.gatech.edu\/news\/two-isye-faculty-receive-teaching-awards\u0022\u003Eteaching awards\u003C\/a\u003E he has received over the past decade.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWilliams is also the director of ISyE\u2019s new Center for Academics, Success, and Equity (CASE), an interdisciplinary academic center created to support ISyE students, faculty, and staff. Programs are categorized according to three foci:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAcademics, which includes risk advising and tutoring;\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ESuccess, which includes student success workshops, teaching consultations, teaching assistant (TA) orientations, the H. Milton Stewart Teaching Fellows program, and the Advisory Board mentIEs program;\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EEquity, which includes programs designed to increase the intercultural competence of all students, faculty, and staff within the School. This will include new initiatives to further build the underrepresented minority pipeline of students and future faculty for ISyE.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECASE also supports ISyE\u2019s current \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.isye.gatech.edu\/about\/partnerships\/k-12-outreach\u0022\u003EK-12 outreach efforts\u003C\/a\u003E, including \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/sethbondercamp.isye.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003Esummer\u003C\/a\u003E \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/ceismc.gatech.edu\/studentprograms\/summer-peaks_programs\/highschool\/h7\u0022\u003Ecamps\u003C\/a\u003E, partnerships with local schools, and class visits for high school students, which enables them to learn about the field of industrial engineering and ISyE.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":"","format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EDamon P.
