647734 external_news 1621965969 1621966014 Susan Lozier, Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Dean and Betsy Middleton and John Clark Sutherland Chair in the College of Sciences, is a co-author of a new research study on the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), a large system of ocean currents that circulate warm water from the tropics to the colder North Atlantic. Because of its size and its impact on water temperature and density, the AMOC is under scrutiny for any climate-caused changes. This Nature Communications paper is co-authored by two School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences researchers, Feili Li (the paper's lead author) and Tillys Petit.
