  <title><![CDATA[Jean-Luc Bredas Wins 2021 Centenary Prize from Royal Society of Chemistry ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><a href="https://bredators.chemistry.gatech.edu/regents-professor-jean-luc-bredas">Jean-Luc&nbsp;Bredas</a>, adjunct professor in the <a href="https://chemistry.gatech.edu">School of Chemistry and Biochemistry</a>, has won the 2021 Centenary Prize from the <a href="https://www.rsc.org">Royal Society of Chemistry</a> &quot;for seminal contributions to our fundamental understanding of the electronic properties of organic materials for electronics and photonics, and for excellence in communication.&quot; Bredas was at Georgia Tech from 2003-2014, and then returned in 2017 as a&nbsp;Regents&rsquo; Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He&nbsp;held&nbsp;the&nbsp;Vasser-Woolley&nbsp;and Georgia Research Alliance&nbsp;Chair in Molecular Design, and was&nbsp;a&nbsp;Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar.</p>
