Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE). The Coca-Cola Foundation Professorship was established to enhance the Stewart School\u0026rsquo;s ability to attract and retain eminent teacher-scholars to this position of academic leadership. Goldsman also directs ISyE\u0026rsquo;s \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.isye.gatech.edu\/academics\/masters\u0022\u003Emaster\u0026rsquo;s degree programs\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;This was really an unexpected honor, and I thank the Coca-Cola Foundation and my colleagues in the Stewart School for making it possible,\u0026rdquo; said Goldsman. \u0026ldquo;I\u0026rsquo;ll be using this professorship to attract students and visitors to ISyE.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGoldsman\u0026rsquo;s research interests include simulation output analysis; statistical ranking and selection methods; and medical and humanitarian applications of operations research.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETogether with ISyE Professor Christos Alexopoulos, Goldsman won the 2007 INFORMS Simulation Society Outstanding Simulation Publication Award for their paper \u0026ldquo;To Batch or Not to Batch?\u0026rdquo; Goldsman, Alexopoulos, Claudia Antonini, and Jim Wilson were recognized with the 2010 \u003Cem\u003EIISE Transactions\u003C\/em\u003E Best Paper Award in Operations Engineering and Analysis for \u0026ldquo;Area Variance Estimators for Simulation Using Folded Standardized Time Series.\u0026rdquo; \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGoldsman received the 2002 INFORMS Simulation Society\u0026#39;s Distinguished Service Award. He also received a Fulbright fellowship in 2006 to lecture at Bo\u011fazi\u0026ccedil;i and Sabanc\u0131 Universities in Istanbul, Turkey.
