<p><em>WIRED&nbsp;</em>defined the series as&nbsp;exploring &quot;Black Twitter&#39;s complex, ongoing legacy.&quot;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Brock&#39;s role in the series was attributed to his&nbsp;authoring of <a href="https://nyupress.org/9781479829965/distributed-blackness/"><em>Distributed Blackness: African American Cybercultures.</em></a></p>
