Almost 80% of stroke survivors experience chronic motor and cognitive impairments, which significantly affect their performance of activities of daily living and health-related quality of life. The use of mobile technologies, such as smartphones and wearable devices, has emerged as an effective tool to collect important personal data relevant to functional conditions and performance levels in stroke survivors. In this talk, I will introduce my research team's recent efforts to (1) understand patients' motor, cognitive, and/or behavioral health conditions outside the clinical setting and (2) provide information-driven technological interventions to promote self-management of rehabilitation.

BIOGRAPHY
Ivan Lee is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UMass Amherst.
