He received extensive training under Pandit Buddhadev Das Gupta, one of the leading sarod players of the past century, as well as with the legendary Radhika Mohan Maitre. Sugato Nag has also been deeply influenced by the music of Vilayat Khan, and marries the power his his guru\u0027s gharana with the sweetness of Ustad Vilayat Khan\u0027s style. He has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, and India, and has received many awards, such as first place Dover Lane music conference and the National Talent Scholarship competitions.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003EHe will be accompanied on tabla by one of India\u0027s leading players, Subrata Bhatthacharya who is currently a visiting professor at Unversity of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He received advanced training form the legendary Pandit Shankar Ghosh. He has accompanied many of India\u0027s leading instrumentalists including Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Dr. L.
