Several high-profile guests visited the school during the year, including Lt. General Nina Armagno, director of staff for the U.S. Space Force, who discussed the daily impact of space on American lives, as well as how Space Force is trying to protect it. We also hosted Ambassador Bergdís Ellertsdóttir of Iceland and briefed her on some of the work that the Nunn School does. Kirk Bowman presented his work in developing new methods of global philanthropy, on which he also published a book this year.

Two members of the Nunn School community  took home awards at the 2021 Ivan Allen College Distinguished Alumni Awards. Tong Zhao, Ph.D. IAST 2014, was awarded the school’s Distinguished Alumni Award, while Sinet Adous, a Fall 2021 graduate with her B.S. in International Affairs, won the Ivan Allen Jr. Undergraduate Student Legacy Award.

Our faculty were also featured in such publications as Wired, POLITICO, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and The New York Times.
