This week we explore creating your map.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWe take a comprehensive approach to\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Esocial innovation\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Eencouraging students to be compassionate listeners; identify and build on the assets; research the solution landscape to learn from both what works and what failed; take a\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Esystems approach\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;to identify the root cause versus the symptoms of the issue.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents who aspire to work closely with and learn from a community partner\/civic entrepreneur, those who want to affect change in the\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003EUnited Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)\u003C\/strong\u003E, and those who are wondering how they can make a real, lasting, and appropriate difference in other people\u0026rsquo;s lives are ideal candidates for I2S.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn the 2022 season, student teams will learn from and work with our Atlanta area community partners and civic entrepreneurs.\u0026nbsp;A series of\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Ehands-on workshops\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Eand\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Ediscussions\u003C\/strong\u003E, complemented by\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Econversations with experts\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Efrom the frontlines, will equip participants with broadly relevant problem discovery tools and skills that they\u0026nbsp;can apply in any field and career. The workshops are offered as part of the MGT4803 Social Impact course and they are open to any student interested.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Edeliverable\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Efor I2S\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Eis a Stakeholder Map of the social issue student teams explore\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003Ewith their community partner\u0026#39;s guidance.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003EThe I2S Showcase will take place on April 18 where teams will present the outcome of their work to an audience of practitioners, community leaders, faculty, and students.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EParticipating I2S Teams can apply to the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/mapthesystem.sbs.ox.ac.uk\/home\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EMap the System Global Challenge\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;as\u0026nbsp;a part of our collaboration with the Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the Sa\u0026iuml;d Business School at Oxford.
