Invited Speaker Dr. Susan Lozier","body":[{"value":"\u003Ch1\u003EMeridional Overturning in the North Atlantic:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h1\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch1\u003EWhat we know, what we don\u0026rsquo;t and why we should care\u003C\/h1\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch1\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h1\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe OSNAP (Overturning in the Subpolar North Atlantic Program) observing system, in place since 2014, provides a continuous record of the full-water column, trans-basin fluxes of heat, mass and freshwater in the subpolar North Atlantic. The first six-years of this time series have revealed surprising results on the mean and variability of the overturning circulation in the subpolar North Atlantic.
