The\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/focus.gatech.edu\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener noreferrer\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022 title=\u0022https:\/\/focus.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EFocus\u0026nbsp;program at Georgia Tech\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;is one of the nation\u0026rsquo;s premier programs for raising awareness of graduate education. It is designed to attract highly skilled students who have historically been\u0026nbsp;underrepresented\u0026nbsp;in higher education and encourage them to pursue graduate degrees, primarily at Georgia Tech. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe\u0026nbsp;Focus\u0026nbsp;scholars\u0026nbsp;met faculty advisors and current graduate students and learned more about graduate programs at the Ivan Allen College. Dean Kaye Husbands Fealing spoke to the\u0026nbsp;scholars\u0026nbsp;about her journey into academics.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAssociate Dean Shatakshee Dhongde, who organized the Ivan Allen College program, stated that she was impressed by the range of backgrounds Focus\u0026nbsp;scholars\u0026nbsp;came from and how keen they were in finding out more about graduate studies at the college.
