657635 external_news 1651005897 1651005897 From Georgia Tech researchers to departments within Chatham County, the city of Savannah, and even a local high school — all of these groups are working to develop the SMART Sea Level Sensors Program to deal with the effects of flooding in the low-lying Savannah area. About 50 sensors have already been deployed through the program. Kim Cobb, Georgia Power Chair, ADVANCE Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and director of Georgia Tech's Global Change Program is a co-leader of the Sea Level Sensors project.
