This year, 49 Georgia Tech graduate students received the prestigious fellowship.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn addition, 39 Tech alumni who are now studying at other institutions were awarded a fellowship, and two\u0026nbsp;current Georgia Tech students received an honorable mention. \u0026shy;Between 2015 and 2021, 233 Georgia Tech graduate students received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, ranking Tech among top recipient institutions nationwide.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;We are very proud of our current fellows and welcome the new class of fellows,\u0026rdquo; said Bonnie Ferri, vice provost Graduate Education and Faculty Development. \u0026ldquo;We are very honored that they selected Georgia Tech for their graduate education.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Graduate Research Fellowship recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master\u0026rsquo;s and doctoral degrees. The five-year fellowship includes three years of financial support including an annual stipend of $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 to the institution.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIndividuals from more than 500 academic institutions apply to the program.
