The essay is titled \u0026ldquo;Building a Bottom-up Bioeconomy.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn it, Shapira and his co-authors discuss how engineering biology, or that \u0026ldquo;which combines biology, engineering, and information technology to produce bio-based materials and products,\u0026rdquo; can reshape society for the better.
