{"660334":{"#nid":"660334","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Georgia Tech Pediatrics Invited Speaker Series with Dr. Animesh Tandon","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;Harnessing Technology and Innovation for Novel Biomarkers in Congenital Heart Disease and Children\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Tandon is a physician-scientist and healthcare innovator, who serves as Director of Cardiovascular Innovation at Cleveland Clinic Children\u0026rsquo;s, and the Clinical Innovation Lead for the Pediatric Institute.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHis current research interests focus on:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E-Using computational modeling and machine learning to derive novel imaging-based biomarkers to improve predictions in congenital heart disease\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E-Using and designing wearable biosensors to generate novel physiologic information for high-risk patients (both inpatient and outpatient)\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E-Using artificial intelligence\/machine learning\/big data techniques on these data to generate actionable insights\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E-Using virtual and augmented reality, and 3D printing, to improve surgical planning\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHe also advises companies looking to innovate in the wearable, congenital heart disease, and imaging spaces.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Tandon graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in 2003. During his medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School, he performed a research fellowship at the NINDS\/NIH through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute\/NIH Research Scholars (Cloister) Program. Dr. Tandon completed his pediatric residency and categorical pediatric cardiology fellowship at Cincinnati Children\u0026rsquo;s Hospital Medical Center. During fellowship, he earned a Masters in Clinical and Translational Research from the University of Cincinnati. He then completed an advanced imaging fellowship at Children\u0026rsquo;s Healthcare of Atlanta\/Emory University.
