It will be hosted in the Library\u0026rsquo;s first-floor Scholar\u0026rsquo;s Event Network Theater, located in Price Gilbert Memorial Library. From auspicious beginnings in segregated Little Rock, she spent a lifetime educating herself, both inside and outside of the classroom, so that she could become the person and professional she aspired to be.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbout the Authors\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPaige Bowers\u003C\/strong\u003E is the author of two biographies about barrier-breaking women in history and a nationally published news and features writer whose work has appeared in \u003Cem\u003ETIME\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003EUSA Today, The Wall Street Journal\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003EThe New York Times, People\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003EAllure, Glamour\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003EThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution,\u003C\/em\u003E and \u003Cem\u003EAtlanta Magazine\u003C\/em\u003E. She lives in the Atlanta area with her family, which includes a Yellow Lab who believes he is a lap dog.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EDr. David R. Montague,\u003C\/strong\u003E the son of Raye Montague, is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Student Success, at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a tenured full professor of criminal justice. Montague volunteers as a reserve police officer in Bryant Arkansas, participates in a university prisoner rehabilitation program, and has served on several discipline-related and community boards. He earned a PhD at Howard University in Political Science, an MA at The George Washington University in Crime and Commerce, and a BA at Morehouse College in Political Science. An unapologetic book pusher and author enabler, she has interviewed more than 100 writers in Zoom rooms and recording studios and before live audiences at venues such as the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, the Atlanta History Center, and the Margaret Mitchell House.
