  <title><![CDATA[“Tracking” Climate Solutions in Georgia’s Agriculture, Food & Forest Sectors]]></title>

<p>This series aims to (1) inform the development of a climate solutions tracker for Drawdown Georgia and (2) assist Business Compact members in their climate action strategies.</p>

<p>We will discuss:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Data sources and models to track solution adoption</li>
	<li>Places and people in Georgia that are demonstrating progress</li>
	<li>Critical infrastructure and enabling policies</li>
	<li>Characterizing adoption across subgroups and equity issues</li>
	<li>The potential for accelerating adoption</li>
	<li>Business leaders and others who should be consulted</li>
</ul>

<h2>Featuring</h2>

<p><strong>Jeff Mullen</strong>, associate professor of agricultural &amp; applied economics at the University of Georgia, will discuss &ldquo;Assessing the Potential for Composting to Reduce Carbon Emissions from Large-Scale Waste Streams&rdquo;. Mullen will describe the carbon emissions model that has been developed to estimate emissions associated with the disposal of biosolids in Georgia.</p>

<p><strong>Jacqueline Mohan</strong>, associate professor in the Odum School of Ecology at the&nbsp;University of Georgia will discuss: &ldquo;Afforestation and Silvopasture in Georgia: Background &amp; Steps Forward.&rdquo; Mohan will describe her research on the impact of past and future global changes on plant population dynamics &amp; ecosystem carbon responses.</p>

<p>Moderated by&nbsp;<strong>Marilyn A. Brown,</strong> Regents&#39; Professor in the School of Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology.</p>
