During the session, we will cover several topics related to Information Security and how they specifically relate to Georgia Tech including: \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EThe information security concepts of C I A (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and risk management and how they apply here at Tech.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOverview of the various regulatory requirements that Tech must adhere to (FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI).\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOverview of the CNUSP and DAP and what they mean to the Georgia Tech community\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOverview of the Georgia Tech Security Plan \u0026amp; how the Plan addresses protection of people, data, and resources\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;The instructors will draw from real world case studies that have occurred at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EObjectives:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\n\nAt the end of the class, students will: \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Col\u003E\u003Cli\u003EHave an understanding of the C-I-A triad \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EHave an understanding of the regulatory requirements Georgia Tech is obligated to meet\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EHave an understanding of the two key Institute Information Security policies \u0026amp; how they apply to the Georgia Tech community \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EHave an understanding of the Georgia Tech Security Plan and the approach taken to mitigate risk to campus IT resources\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ol\u003E","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThis class is intended for users who want to learn more about the over-arching guiding principles for Information Security at Georgia Tech.
