Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in the\u0026nbsp;Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) where he is advised by ECE Assistant Professor Shaolan Li.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Predoctoral Achievement Award is the\u0026nbsp;highest honor IEEE SSCS bestows upon student members. It is awarded to promising graduate students annually based on academic record, quality of publications, and a graduate study program well matched to the charter of SSCS.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWang is being recognized for his Ph.D. research on \u0026ldquo;Extremely efficient analog to digital converter (ADC).\u0026rdquo; The work proposes a robust noise-shaping SAR ADC that boosts\u0026nbsp;the\u0026nbsp;noise suppression for resolution improvement without power and design complexity overhead. The research was presented at\u0026nbsp;the 2022 International Solid State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) as a demo with a low-power, highly efficient ECG readout application.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAs a member of the Georgia Tech Analog Mixed-signal Microsystems and Applications (GAMMA) Lab directed by Li, Wang conducts impactful research on innovative design techniques to address\u0026nbsp;the\u0026nbsp;fundamental challenges in analog integrated circuit design.\u0026nbsp;He received\u0026nbsp;his B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering science from National Taiwan University, located in Taipei, Taiwan. He\u0026nbsp;received\u0026nbsp;his second M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHis current research interests include digitally assisted noise shaping techniques and mixed-signal circuit design, focusing on addressing various challenges and issues associated with high-speed ADC design. Wang\u0026nbsp;is a reviewer for IEEE Journal on Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, and IET Electronics Letters.
