For one paper,\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.research.gatech.edu\/david-hu\u0022\u003EDavid Hu\u003C\/a\u003E, professor in the School of Biological Sciences and the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.me.gatech.edu\u0022\u003EGeorge W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;was part of\u0026nbsp;a study that focused on the mechanics of the skin wrinkles and folds in an elephant\u0026#39;s trunk. Other School of Biological Sciences researchers assembled\u0026nbsp;the genome of the critically endangered Guatemalan beaded lizard.
