{"668367":{"#nid":"668367","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Maria Hunter Named Executive Director of Digital Business","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EMaria Hunter has been named executive director of the Office of Information Technology\u0027s Digital Business team, effective Oct. 1.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0022Maria has diligently served as interim executive director of the team since Jim Pete\u2019s reassignment to Clayton State University in early 2022,\u0022 said Daren Hubbard, vice president for Information Technology and chief information officer at Georgia Tech. \u0022In that time, she has worked to strengthen the team\u2019s engagement and advocated for the continued growth and development of Digital Business. She is currently working on a restructure of the team that would strengthen its service management program and better align client support resources to meet the growing needs of Georgia Tech\u0027s students, faculty, researchers and staff.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EIn her capacity as executive director, Hunter provides enterprise-wide leadership, strategic planning, and management of digital business technology and services, with focus on creating new value in business models, customer experiences, and internal capabilities that support core operations.\u0026nbsp;She works with other senior leaders to Identify and develop processes and services that drive IT transformation and growth, and partners with the greater Institute business units and IT community for the delivery of best-in-class, customer-focused, technology services and support.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EHunter has previously served OIT as director of Service Delivery and Support, associate director of Information Technology Services, and a department manager.
