As a neural tissue engineering researcher, they design \u0026amp; develop living, light-controlled neural networks as (1) a model for complex brain pathways and (2) an implantable neural input, with a long-term focus on the development of biological neuroprosthetic devices. Their experience broadly spans bioengineering and robotics\u2014primarily additive manufacturing (3D-printing), the design and fabrication of mechatronic systems, and brain-computer interfaces\u2014and he has trained and served as an educator in several undergraduate and graduate-level engineering courses.
