68743 news 1310143171 1475896184 <![CDATA[Cool Insights: Monitoring Produce Quality Requires Good Temperature Management]]> In the June 2011 issue of Food Logistics, Dr. Beth Mitcham, Director of the Postharvest Technology Center at UC Davis and member of the Georgia Tech Integrated Food Chain Center (IFC), authored the fourth installment for the Cool Insights column, titled “Monitoring Produce Quality Requires Good Temperature Management”.  Mitcham discusses how the exposure of fresh produce to warm temperatures results in loss of saleable weight and reductions in market quality and shelf life.

The column, which began with the April / May 2010 issue, has exclusively featured thoughts from the faculty, staff, and partners of IFC on various aspects of food chain.
