On April 22, 2006, French and Keating were officially inducted into the College of Fellows at the APA National Planning Conference in San Antonio.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0022The election of fellow by the American Institute of Certified Planners is the highest recognition given to a city planner,\u0022 said Dean Galloway. \u0022It is a testament to the quality of work produced by Professors French and Keating. I am very proud of this most deserved recognition.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe AICP bestows this honor in recognition of the achievements of the planner as an individual, elevating the fellow before the public and profession as a model planner with significant contributions to planning and society.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFrench\u0027s work primarily focuses in the areas of land use, GIS applications in city and regional planning and the impacts of urban development.
