{"69877":{"#nid":"69877","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Afghanistan: DARPA Forward","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ERyan Paterson shares his experiences establishing the DARPA Forward Cell in Kabul, Afghanistan.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nPaterson recently departed DARPA serving as the Deputy Director for\n the Adaptive Execution Office (AEO).  Over the past 12 months, Paterson has also served as the Director, DARPA Forward Cell (DFC), \nestablishing the Agency\u0027s first full-time presence in a combat \nenvironment since the Vietnam War.  As the Director of DFC, Paterson\n has been responsible for the Joint DARPA Operational Trials, a \nportfolio of DARPA programs currently operating with the forces in \nAfghanistan. Paterson will share his experiences from spending six of\n the last seven months embedded with coalition forces, collaborating with \nthe Afghan people and exploring the country.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nPaterson served as a U.S. Marine Corps office for 13 years and as \nthe DARPA Program Manager for the Command Post of the Future (CPOF) \nprogram.
