Guthman Musical Instrument Competition is a platform for bringing like-minded inventors and composers together from all over the world to develop their ideas and careers,\u201d said Gil Weinberg, director of the Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology. \u0022We encourage anyone with a great idea that pushes the envelope in musical expression to enter.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EAn annual event to find the world\u2019s best new ideas in musicality, design and engineering,\u003Cem\u003EWired\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;magazine has called the competition an \u201cX-Prize for music,\u201d and contestants have likened it to a TED Conference for new musical instrument designers.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThis year, winners will be selected by an expert jury panel including Atau Tanaka, media artist and researcher and Cyril Lance, chief engineer at electronic musical instrument manufacturer Moog Music.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to the Best in Show prize
