ECE Undergraduate Programs Continue Their Winning Ways in USNWR Rankings

The U.S. News & World Report 2012 Best Colleges Issue, which includes undergraduate engineering program rankings, has now been published, and the results for the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology are fantastic.

For the first time, electrical engineering placed 4th, advancing to its highest placement ever in the USNWR undergraduate engineering rankings, after holding the 5th place position for the last three years. Computer engineering remained strong at 6th place, the same position that it held last year. The College of Engineering ranked 5th, and Georgia Tech retained its 7th place standing among public universities. To learn more, please read the news release on the Georgia Tech web site at http://www.gatech.edu/newsroom/release.html?nid=69962.

"Our success in ECE can be attributed to our innovative and internationally renowned academic and research programs, but none of these things would be possible without the finest faculty, staff, and students anywhere," said Douglas B. Williams, interim school chair for ECE. "While these sorts of rankings may mean different things to different people, we can all be very proud of our accomplishments and the high esteem in which our peers hold us."
