Georgia Institute of Technology sustained its top ten ranking, coming in 7th among public universities in the 2012 edition.  Georgia Tech has ranked in the top 10 of public universities for more than a decade.

Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering ranked 5th in the undergraduate rankings for engineering programs at universities where the highest degree is a Ph.D.

Aerospace Engineering maintained its 2nd place ranking in its discipline.  Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering are also ranked 2nd, both moving up from 3rd last year. Civil Engineering maintained its 3rd place ranking and Environmental Engineering moved up two spots, also ranking 3rd. Electrical Engineering moved up to 4th from 5th last year.

Georgia Tech's College of Management maintained it 28th ranking this year.
