He has 29 years of experience in safeguards both on the national (SSAC) and the international level. Before joining the IAEA in 2002 he held a position of Principal Advisor at the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) in Finland and his main responsibilities included safeguards R\u0026amp;D and IAEA Safeguards Support Programme coordination. In the Agency, his main responsibilities included safeguards State evaluation before establishment of the TTA \u2013 Trade and Technology Analysis Unit in 2004.
