  <title><![CDATA[Cool Insights: Beyond Current Perishable Logistics Strategies and Processes]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>In the October 2011 issue of <em>Food Logistics</em>, Nick Pacitti, a lecturer at the Georgia Tech Supply
Chain &amp; Logistics Institute and a partner with Sterling Solutions, authored
the seventh installment for the Cool Insights column, titled <a href="http://www.foodlogistics.com/article/10416649/beyond-current-perishable-logistics-strategies-and-processes">“Beyond
Current Perishable Logistics Strategies and Processes.”</a> In the article,
Pacitti discusses the innovative logistics strategies being used in the
industry to create an efficient perishable supply chain and transportation
network, while also being more socially responsible.&nbsp; </p>

<p><em>Food Logistics</em>, <a href="http://www.foodlogistics.com/article/10307525/a-new-cold-chain-for-panama">August
2011</a>:&nbsp; Dr. Dario Solis, managing director of the Georgia Tech Panama
Logistics Innovation &amp; Research Center, authored the fifth installment for
the Cool Insights column,
titled “A New Cold Chain for Panama.” </p>

<p>To celebrate the opening of the Georgia Tech Supply Chain
&amp; Logistic Institute’s (SCL) Integrated Food Chain Center (IFC), <em>Food
Logistics Magazine</em> initiated a new column titled Cool Insights.&nbsp; The column, which began with the April /
May 2010 issue, has exclusively featured thoughts from the faculty, staff, and
partners of the IFC on various aspects of food chain.</p>]]></body>
