A box lunch will be provided.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbstract\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ETravel time reliability is a relatively new concept for the transportation profession. In this presentation, Dr. Margiotta will discuss:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003Ehow travel time reliability came into the transportation lexicon;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Ethe various ways researchers have chosen to define and measure it;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Edata and modeling requirements; and\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Evaluation of travel time reliability.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe presentation draws heavily on Margiotta\u2019s own research as well as recent results from the SHRP 2 program.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBio\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ERichard Margiotta, is a principal with Cambridge Systematics. He has 29 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering, and has held positions at the Transportation Research Board, University of Tennessee, SAIC and the Knoxville Metropolitan Planning Organization. He received PhD and master\u0027s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor\u0027s degree in biol\u0026shy;ogy from the State University of New York at Albany.
