Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a stable reactive oxygen species (ROS) that has second messenger signaling properties. We use HyPer, a fluorescent H2O2 reporter protein, in order to visualize H2O2 production and investigate downstream signaling dynamics.\n\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ETanay Desai\u003C\/strong\u003E - Advisor, Raquel Lieberman, PhD\n\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cem\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EExploring the Properties of Novel Olfactomedin Domains: Beyond Glaucoma-Associated Myocilin-Olfactomedin\n\n\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe olfactomedin (OLF) domain is conserved among higher eukaryotes, and is implicated in diseases such as glaucoma and cancer. This talk will describe our ongoing efforts to characterize the OLF protein family by biophysical methods.\n\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe Graduate and Post-Doc (GaP) Seminar Series is a weekly event of biotechnology related research presentations by two graduate students or post-docs of IBB and is co-sponsored by BME.
