Health Implications of Georgia\u0027s Drought.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EOur guest speakers will be Tim Cash of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) and Betsy T. Kagey, Chief Epidemiologist at the Georgia Department of Human Resources Division of Public Health.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe meeting will be held on December 11, 2007 (NOT HPRG\u0027s usual first Tuesday), from 7:30-9:00 AM.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ENew Location: Emory University, 1520 Clifton Road NE\u003Cbr \/\u003E Nell Hodgson Woodruff Nursing Building (next door to the Rollins Schools of Public Health where HPRG normally meets), in Room 110\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDirections: \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.sph.emory.edu\/directions_maps.php\u0022\u003Ehttp:\/\/www.sph.emory.edu\/directions_maps.php\u003C\/a\u003E. Parking is available in the Michael Street Parking Deck.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ERefreshments provided.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHealthy Places Research Group (HPRG) is a collaborative effort of individuals interested in exploring the relationship between health and the built environment. The Group includes individuals form the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, the City and Regional Planning Program of the College of Architecture at Georgia Tech, the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development (CQGRD), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local and state public health officials, community leaders, and others interested in the relationships between health and the built environment.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe HPRG meets once a month from September to May to discuss issues and exchange information pertaining to health policy, impacts, and the built environment.
