A year and a half later, the game has landed\nhim in the pages of the current (January) edition of \u003Cem\u003EWired\u003C\/em\u003E magazine. \u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EBogost developed \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.bogost.com\/blog\/cow_clicker_1.shtml\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003E\u003Cem\u003ECow\nClicker\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E for Facebook last summer as a joke. His only goal was to create a\nrepetitive, pointless and unrewarding game that ridiculed popular successes such\nas \u003Cem\u003EFarmVille\u003C\/em\u003E. In that regard, \u003Cem\u003ECow Clicker \u003C\/em\u003Ewas an overwhelming triumph.\n\u0026nbsp;Players saw a cow on the screen, clicked\nthe image and were told to return later to click it again. Aside from a \u201cmoo\u201d\nand a notification on the player\u2019s Facebook profile, nothing else happened with\neach click. \n\n\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDespite its dullness, and to Bogost\u2019s surprise, 50,000\npeople signed up within the first two months. Some even paid real money for the\nopportunity to click their cows multiple times a day.
