Come hear how Rick Perera of CARE operates as a \u201cone-man band\u201d media relations professional. He\u2019ll review how he gathers stories, photos and videos, and will also share examples. In addition, he\u2019ll discuss video-shooting techniques, video editing software and there will be a demo\/trial of FlipCam shooting. This will be a great chance to learn more about incorporating video into your unit\u2019s communications strategy.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPresenter: \u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ERick Perera, Communications Officer with CARE. Rick has served in various communications roles for CARE since 2002, including as media officer and emergency press officer handling media relations at disaster sites. He recently returned from a three-month assignment directing media and communications for the Horn of Africa food crisis, and has also completed emergency assignments in Haiti, Pakistan, Nicaragua and other countries.
