{"78451":{"#nid":"78451","#data":{"type":"event","title":"School of Architecture Lecture Series: Mark Mueckenheim","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EMark\u0026nbsp;Muekenheim is founder and principal of FRAMA Architects BDA in Duesseldorf Germany and the co-author of the book \u0022Inspiration \u2013 Contemporary Design Method in Architecture\u0022 which will be released by BIS Publishers Amsterdam in 2011.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe has lectured and acted as a guest critic at numerous international institutions, including The Royal College of Art and the Architectural Association in London England, The Angewandte Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna, Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, the University of Houston in Texas and the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SciArc) in Los Angeles, among many others. Since 2001, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Architectural Design in Germany. Among other schools, he taught for more than six years at the RWTH Aachen, one of Germany\u0027s leading universities. Since 2009, he is appointed as a guest professor for architectural design at the Technical University Munich.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EEducated in Germany, the US and England, sponsored by a Fulbright scholarship and a DAAD grand, Mark M\u00fcckenheim received his Master of Architecture from Parsons School of Design, New York and his Graduate Diploma in Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBefore establishing his own architecture practice in 2001, he worked and collaborated with different architecture firms in Germany, USA and England. During this time, he gained extensive professional experience through working on a number of projects, among them the celebrated Kunsthaus in Graz (with SpacelabUK Peter Cook \u0026amp; Colin Fournier - London) and Scott Free, a film production company in Los Angeles for the directors Ridley and Tony Scott (with Barton Myers and Associates - Los Angeles).\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMark M\u00fcckenheims diverse portfolio ranges from concrete architectural projects of different scales and complexity to \u0022speculations\u0022 \u2013 architectural visions that cross the boundaries of the field, informing the design potential of his office. He received the highly regarded German Young Architect\u0027s Design Award, F\u00f6rderpreis NRW and the MACEF Design Award in Milan and was listed among the \u0022top 10 under 40\u0022 German architects by the interactive architecture magazine NIB in Rome. His projects have been featured in various international books and journals, recent publications include participation in the books \u0022Architectural Model - lead to design\u0022 and \u0022Mobile Architecture\u0022 by DAMDI Architecture Publishing Co. Korea, \u0022Future Architecture\u0022 a book publication by Linksbooks Barcelona and \u0022Concept Architecture\u0022 by Rihan, Hong Kong.
