{"79091":{"#nid":"79091","#data":{"type":"event","title":"GTNeuro Meeting","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EGTNeuro will hold its first general meeting for the semester.\u0026nbsp;GTNeuro is a collaborative effort across majors to\u0026nbsp;express and organize interest in neuroscience-related fields on the Georgia\u0026nbsp;Tech campus, along with students and faculty at Emory, Georgia State and\u0026nbsp;other major neuroscience centers throughout Atlanta\u0027s quickly growing neuroscience scene.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWe will be discussing the new strategic plan for GTNeuro as well as\u0026nbsp;background information about the organization. A few of the key points that\u0026nbsp;will be addressed are the types and nature of events (research events,\u0026nbsp;networking events, discussion events, educational events, guest speaker\u0026nbsp;events, volunteer events, advocacy events, social events and newsletter\u0026nbsp;activities) we are currently planning, as well as the status of our push for a neurobiotechnology minor at Tech. In addition, upcoming event dates for\u0026nbsp;January and February and ways to become more involved in club activities\u0026nbsp;through new leadership positions will be discussed.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EJust a few of the things this includes are: hosting social events with\u0026nbsp;like-minded peers, guest speaker lectures on various aspects of neuroscience,\u0026nbsp;volunteering events at neuroscience related institutions\/events, the creation\u0026nbsp;of a neuroscience minor, coordinating neuro research events\/mentorships, and\u0026nbsp;much more! Involvement is a great way to network and explore your interests\u0026nbsp;in neuroscience.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe general meeting is not limited to members or individuals of a certain\u0026nbsp;major so if you are curious about neuroscience or what we are all about, come\u0026nbsp;to our general meeting and find out!
