The symposium included six excellent presentations by senior graduate students who were finalists for the graduate student research awards.  \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAwards were presented to the following: \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EFirst Place:Edward Hohenstein (Sherrill group)\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ESecond Place:Anthony Baldridge (Tolbert group)\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThird Place:Kathy Woody (Collard group), Chun-Wan Yen (El-Sayed group), Adam Offenbacher (Barry group)\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ERunner-up:\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nGlenn Harris (Fernandez group) \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EBest Second Year Seminar Award: True Merrill\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EOutstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Awards:\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nNikki Burns, Lee Goetz, Matthew Kennedy, Lisa Vaughan\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EA reception following the symposium was held in the atrium of the Molecular Science and Engineering building for symposium attendees and to kick-off homecoming festivities.
