David Sherrill is joining The Journal of Chemical Physics as an Associate Editor as of 1 May 2009. \u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Sherrill\u0027s achievements in Chemical Physics are extensive and will strengthen JCP\u0027s presence in one of its core areas of coverage. His research is focused on the development of ab initio electronic structure theory and its applications to a broad range of problems including noncovalent interactions, highly reactive systems, photochemistry and systems with unusual bonding.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Sherrill is a Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His group conducts ground breaking research, some of which was recently featured in Nature Chemistry.
