These three were nominated on the basis of their research accomplishments and their service to the ACS as journal editors.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe ACS Fellows Program was created by the Board of Directors in December 2008 \u0027to recognize members of the American Chemical Society for outstanding achievements in and contributions to Science, the Profession, and the Society.\u0027 Unlike ACS national awards, the distinguished honor of a Fellows designation will go to those who have distinguished themselves in multiple areas, including promoting the science, the profession, and service to the American Chemical Society.
